New Disease Outbreak in Congo


An unidentified illness has killed scores of people and infected hundreds in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the World Health Organization has reported, with preliminary investigations tracing the outbreak to three children who in January ate a bat and died.

According to reports, the attackers made away with valuable items including designer wristwatches, jewelry, two iPhones, a MacBook laptop, and approximately £200,000 in cash. Sources further claim that the total value of items stolen is estimated to be around £500,000. Authorities are said to be investigating the incident.
